Nicki Fischer was born and raised in California. Nicki spent most of her life asking questions about her own behavior and the behavior of others. She wanted to know why people would do, say or feel things that they did not want to do, say or feel. It didn’t make sense to her. If you don’t want to do, say or feel something…she said that you should be able to not do, say or feel it.
Fischer wanted to understand people’s process of thinking and how they ended up thinking about things the way they did. Even still, the answers to her questions never totally made sense to her. Fischer couldn’t understand why she was not able to be in sync with the explanations that were given about herself and others.
Earlier in Fischer’s life she was involved in a car accident and as a result, in July of 2003 she was about to face a 3rd neck surgery in 3 years. The 2 previous surgeries only gave her relief for a very short time. Fischer was scared and desperate and didn’t know how to stop the physical and emotional pain that had plagued her for most of her life. Nothing could help her get out of pain or give her answers to her questions.
Fischer couldn’t find peace for her pain using someone else’s way. She didn’t know what to do. Fischer was running out of time and had to find a way to help herself and not go through with this 3rd neck surgery. The pain had become so severe that Fischer’s life was ruled by her body. The harder Fischer tried to get out of pain, the worse it got. Nothing made sense to her…
About the same time in 2003, Fischer was in an industry connected to the mortgage sector that was completely changing. Fischer had the option of changing with it or changing everything about her focus and the type of work she wanted to do. She was clear that she wanted to do something meaningful that would help people.
Fischer’s nephew has autism and she decided to create a non-profit and publish a magazine, The Autism Perspective (www.TheAutismPerspective.org), and dedicate it to her nephew. The purpose of the magazine was to offer and share other people’s experiences without taking sides or having a bias.
As it turned out, the work Fischer did with autism was only a springboard to the beginning to what ultimately has become known as, The Fischer Method TM.
In a nutshell, Fischer discovered a radically innovative way by using a specific training exercise along with your own body’s resistance to disintegrate patterns and impressions that we picked up along the way, stored in our body and have been using them for our lifetime.
Through desperation and determination, Fischer figured out the mechanics of how the human body system operates in balance, at peace, from the inside out. She created a specific training system in a specific order for the body to function using its own dynamic equilibrium.
Fischer figured out how to reset and regulate the human body’s central nervous system.
